1large aloe vera leaf (about 12 oz)

1tbspfresh lemon juice
1tbsphoney or agave syrup (optional)

Method
Rinse the aloe vera leaf under cool water and pat dry with a towel.
Carefully slice off the spiky edges and remove the top skin layer to expose the gel.
Scoop out the clear aloe gel with a spoon and discard the skin.
Transfer the gel to a blender. Add water, lemon juice, and optional sweetener or vanilla extract.
Blend on high for 30–45 seconds until smooth and frothy.
Optional: Strain through a fine-mesh sieve to remove pulp.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Serve over ice, stir gently, and enjoy! Store leftovers up to 3 days.
For a sugar-free version, use stevia instead of honey. Add lime instead of lemon for a tropical twist. Freeze leftovers in ice cube trays for smoothies or cocktails. Always use fresh aloe, not bottled gel, for best flavor and nutrition.
