Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds salmon fillet skin-on or skinless
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • 1 lemon sliced into rounds, for garnish

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillet completely dry with paper towels and place it skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, red pepper flakes (if using), and black pepper until a smooth marinade forms.
  4. Pour two-thirds of the sauce evenly over the salmon, using a spoon or brush to coat the entire surface of the fillet. Reserve the remaining sauce in the bowl.
  5. Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F when checked with an instant-read thermometer.
  6. While the salmon bakes, pour the reserved sauce into a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until it thickens slightly.
  7. Remove the salmon from the oven and drizzle the reduced sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices before serving immediately.
