How we work

Corrections

One wrong quantity can spoil a dish, so accuracy matters to us. If you spot a mistake in a recipe, please tell us so we can put it right.

How to report a mistake

Write to us through our contact form. It helps a lot if you include:

  • the name of the recipe or a link to it;
  • what looks wrong (an amount, a time, a temperature, a missing step, an allergen);
  • what you expected instead, if you know.

What we correct

  • Wrong quantities, units, times or oven temperatures.
  • Ingredients missing from the list, or listed but never used.
  • Steps that are missing, out of order or unclear.
  • Food-safety information, including internal temperatures and raw-ingredient warnings.
  • Allergen notes and nutrition figures that do not match the ingredients.
  • Typos, broken links and anything else that gets in the way of cooking.

What happens next

We check the recipe against your report. If it is wrong, we correct the recipe page itself, so everyone who opens it afterwards cooks from the fixed version, including the printable recipe card.

When a recipe changes after it was published, the page shows an “Updated” date next to the original publication date.

Food safety comes first

Reports about internal temperatures, raw ingredients or allergens are handled before anything else.

Suggestions and matters of taste

“Too sweet for me” or “I added garlic and loved it” is not a mistake, but it is always welcome: suggestions help us improve recipes, though we may keep a recipe as it is. For a dish you would like to see on the site, choose “Suggest a recipe or an idea” on the contact page.
